Step 1 – Committing to Build a Solid Business
By Ron Montaruli, Director of Sales
Without a clear vision of what we need and want in life, there is no drive and direction. The first question we all need to ask ourselves as we journey through life is "what's worth fighting for?" I encourage you to take a few minutes right now and document what changes you desire in your life that are worth fighting for. In many cases, it will have something to do with health, finances, and time!
The fact that you are reading this tells me that you are seeking change in your life and are prepared to do something about it. Congratulations on taking the first step and stepping out of your comfort zone by joining the FreeLife family. Now let's step out just a bit further and make a couple of commitments.
* Commit to the amount of time you are prepared to invest in FreeLife to make the desired change in your life a reality.
* Commit to the times you will dedicate to your FreeLife business by taking out your daily/weekly/monthly calendar and blocking in those times.
Great job. Now this next step, calling on people, is where most people stall and never move further. The main reason for this is that most people will avoid things that they perceive will cause them pain. Calling on someone and possibly being rejected is painful for some people. Therefore, they avoid anything that will get them to that point, such as creating a list of contacts without prejudging them.
* Relax. Don't worry about taking any action. Just think and write down the names of all the people you know – friends, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, etc. The memory jogger in your
Fundamentals Of Success is a great resource for this exercise.
* By completing this list, you have taken a critical first step to getting off to a great start with FreeLife. The more names you have on that list, the more likely you will be successful.
* Make your contact list a living, breathing document. Keep it close to you and add to it each and every day.
Tip: Avoid "creative avoidance." You may feel that you are out of your comfort zone, and you are probably right. By "doing it afraid," you will overcome that initial fear and expand your comfort zone as you build your FreeLife business.
